Cambodia's annual cement production capacity, currently at about 8.9 million tonnes, is poised to receive a major boost after the Council for the Development of Cambodia (CDC) greenlit Dongfang Junma Cement Co Ltd’s US$95 million proposal for a new factory in western Battambang province near the border with Pailin.

Once expansion is completed, company’s combined capacity will go up to 55.9mt from current level of 46.4mt

On 13 June, Minister of Investment, Industry and Trade of the Republic of Uzbekistan Laziz Kudratov held a meeting with the Chairman of the Board of China Energy Song Hailiang, during which they discussed the current state of the implementation of joint projects and prospects for further development of mutually beneficial cooperation. During the meeting, the progress of the implementation of projects for the construction of photovoltaic stations in the Kashkadarya and Bukhara regions with a total capacity of 1000 MW and a cement plant in Samarkand region with a capacity of 3 million tons was considered in detail.

Crown Cement PLC is going to increase its annual production capacity by 40 per cent this year by establishing its sixth manufacturing facility, which will turn it into the country's fourth largest cement manufacturer.

KuzbassTransCement (a subsidiary of Sibcem, responsible for the operation of the holding's railway fleet) sums up the results of work in 2022.
