Vadim Tretyakov, Minister of Investment and Development of the Sverdlovsk Region, assessed the pace of construction of a new autoclaved aerated concrete plant.
“Atomstroycomplex” plans to launch the plant in late 2024 on the site of the Gabievsky Industrial Park near Sysert, which will become part of the construction materials production cluster.
"The number of construction projects under construction in the Sverdlovsk Region increases annually. Evgeny Kuivashev, Governor of the Sverdlovsk Region, has emphasized the importance of providing the region's construction complex with its own materials. We understand that consumers of Sverdlovsk aerated concrete are mainly construction companies located within a radius of a thousand kilometers. And the new plant is a matter of industrial safety," said Vadim Tretyakov.
“Atomstroycomplex-Industry” is a participant in a priority investment project of the Sverdlovsk Region, which allows the company to take advantage of tax benefits on corporate profit, which is credited to the regional budget, and a tax break on corporate property tax.
An advanced cement plant was built here in the industrial park near Sysert in the status of a priority investment project in 2020-2021. Now it employs 143 employees, the production volume at the end of 2023 amounted to 428 thousand tons of high quality cement.
Boris Ovechkin, General Director of “Atomstroycomplex-Industry”, said that with the launch of the new plant, the company plans to produce one million cubic meters of gas blocks per year in 2025.
"Now we are completing the construction of the factory workshops, we will start installing the equipment in March. The plant will be equipped with 70% Russian-made equipment and 30% equipment from our Chinese and Turkish partners. In December we will start commissioning works and in the first quarter of 2025 we expect to reach the design capacity - it is 400 thousand cubic meters of gas blocks per year. The total volume of gas-block production by our company, taking into account the two existing plants, will reach 1 million cubic meters. This will make it possible to fully cover the demand of developers in the Sverdlovsk region for this material and provide them with a resource for the construction of housing and social infrastructure facilities under the national project "Housing and Urban Environment" initiated by Russian President Vladimir Putin," said Boris Ovechkin, General Director of Atomstroycomplex-Industry.
The aerated concrete plant is organically integrated into the industrial ecosystem of “Atomstroycomplex”. Two of the group's industrial enterprises - lime and cement - are already operating in the Gabievsky Industrial Park, forming a cluster of zero-waste production. Their products, in turn, will become raw materials for the production of aerated concrete, thus forming a maximally efficient production cycle. It is noteworthy that Atomstroycomplex uses fly ash from Reftinskaya TPP as a silica component in the production of aerated concrete. This, on the one hand, ensures high consumer properties of the products - homogeneity of the composition, increased strength and frost resistance, and also meets the objectives of the National Project "Ecology".
