The first meeting of the Council at LafargeHolcim Shchurovsky plant in Russia was attended by officials, heads of companies and institutions in Kolomna, as well as city activists.
According to Maxim Goncharov, General Director of LafargeHolcim in Russia, the Public Council will become a platform for interaction between holding and residents of Kolomna on relevant issues of the plant's operation, environmental, socio-economic and other aspects. In addition, Council members will be able to propose and discuss social projects.
At the previous event, representatives of LafargeHolcim spoke about the company's strategic priorities in Russia, answered questions about work of the Public Council and planned the next meeting with the participants this summer.
The Council includes the following members from the urban community: head of the Kolomna city district Denis Lebedev, heads of educational and cultural institutions, representatives of the deputy corps and public organizations, business and youth, residents of the Shchurovo microdistrict and environmental activists.
Artur Buzyurov, Technical Director of LafargeHolcim in Russia, was appointed as Chairman of the Council, Dmitry Sytnik, Deputy Director for Public Relations and Government Relations of the Shchurovsky plant, was appointed as executive secretary. New director of the Shchurovsky plant Andrey Polezhaev was also introduced at the meeting.
