AKKERMANN cement takes part in large-scale infrastructure projects

Construction of the second stage of the bridge across the Chusovaya River has begun - one of the most significant infrastructure structures in the Perm Territory. The bridge under construction is similar to the existing one, but has a larger structure.

To participate in the project, concrete supplier – OOO «VEGA Concrete Plants Network» - underwent a thorough audit, which included checking the condition of the plant, equipment and target materials.

As the head of the laboratory of the plant Dmitry Dobrynsky noted, AKKERMANN cement provided powerful support in the development of formulations for the concrete mixes, by helping to create and test all compositions. A large amount of work on the selection of optimal additives allowed to achieve highest characteristics of concrete.

Currently the construction of concrete platforms is being carried out, along which the metal spans will move towards each other from both banks of the river. Some of the concrete supports are ready.

Georgy Gorgodze, head of the technical support service for sales of AKKERMANN cement, emphasized that due to the active impact of an aggressive environment on such construction sites, an increased requirement for durability and corrosion resistance of materials is imposed. For the construction of the Chusovsky Bridge, the company supplies Portland cement PC 500 D0-N GOST 10178-85 based on clinker of standardized composition with a reduced content of tricalcium aluminate. Such cement is excellently suited for the manufacture of monolithic concrete and reinforced concrete structures, which will later become part of the structures of bridge piers.

The construction of the bridge should be completed in 2023. Together with the construction of access roads, this will be the final stage of a large-scale reconstruction of the transport corridor, which will shorten the route between the Perm Territory and the neighboring region by 350 km.
