The repair campaign for the 2020-2021 season aimed at improving the reliability of equipment and uninterrupted high-quality production process continues at Akhangarancement. The campaign includes a set of measures to increase the capacity of the main facilities of the enterprise and increase Akhangarancement’s competitiveness in the regional construction sector.
Repair works are being carried out on the main equipment of raw materials and cement mills, and kilns. In particular, in the raw material grinding department five raw mills had 141.3 tons of armored lining replaced in the hulls. The drive of the raw mill No. 3 is equipped with an electric motor restored by the specialists of the electrical repair shop of the enterprise. In the future, it is planned to replace the worn out gearbox of the main drive of the raw mill No. 4. The rotary kiln No. 4 in the clinker production facility undergoes a project of replacing the crown of the main drive and restoring the second drive. The rotary kiln No. 1 had a chain zone dust supply system installed, and a labyrinth seal installed on the cold end of the kiln.
This project was implemented in accordance with the technical documentation of the plant, developed on the basis of the experience of Russian cement plants. Currently, a similar repair is being carried out on rotary kiln No. 2. Using special methods of mechanical adjustment, work is being carried out to replace the middle part of the body of cement mill No. 3 in the cement grinding facility.
The ultimate goal of systematic repairs is to achieve efficiency of production processes and increase the equipment utilization rate up to 99 %.
“The implementation of the repair program will help prepare the enterprise for the peak of the construction season, which assumes the maximum load on technological equipment. Thanks to the well-coordinated work of the repair shop, the services of chief specialists, the department of material resources and the department of industrial safety, the repair campaign is carried out efficiently in compliance with all the terms and necessary preventive and safety measures (related to COVID-19)," said General Director of the enterprise Gennady Kulikov.
