Egypt’s Amreyah Cement is undertaking a significant pyroprocess upgrade at its Burg El Arab cement plant, located approximately 55 km from Alexandria.
The facility comprises three production lines and has a capacity of about 5.5 million tonnes of cement per year. The project includes the upgrade of key elements of the production process.
The upgrade includes the installation of a combustion reactor for alternative fuel processing, the modernisation of the preheater with high-efficiency cyclones, and the construction of a new calciner within the existing structure.
In addition, the project includes the installation of burners for the calciner and the main kiln, as well as the installation of a new ID fan, a tertiary air duct, and a downcomer duct.
