Angarskcement Began Implementation of Two New Investment Projects

Sibcem’s Angarskcement plant has begun construction of a cable rack from 110/35/6 Tsemzavod substation to the RU-6kV transformer substation No. 3. The project is being implemented as part of the planned investment program. The cost of all works will be about RUB 40.4 million.

Construction works began on the territory of the plant in November 2020. In accordance with the contract, the contractor must develop 25 foundation pits, reinforce the foundations with formwork for concreting, then fill the foundations with anchor groups and mount metal supports. Metal trusses will be laid on top of the columns along the entire 335m-long overpass and a new cable line will be laid along them. The construction of the cable rack is necessary for the technical re-equipment of the transformer substation No. 3, the electrical equipment of which has exhausted its service life. Both projects are implemented simultaneously in several stages.

The main works on the construction of the cable rack are expected for completion in February 2021. In the spring, the contractor will install the cable routes on the overpass and start landscaping the adjacent territory. Commissioning of the facility is scheduled for July.

The contractor, with the help of an excavator and a hydraulic hammer, is currently finalizing the development of pits — 24 are complete, and 10 of them have the foundation poured. Before the year ends, these works will be complete.

A project for the technical re-equipment of transformer substation No. 3 is also being developed. An agreement has been concluded for the supply of 76 imported high-voltage cells. Dismantling of a part of the electrical equipment of the substation will begin in February. Preparatory works are now being carried out by the specialists of Angarskcement.
