BCC is planning to deliver 67 thousand tons of cement to Russia by its own train in May

Belarusian Cement Company has launched a train of its own hopper cars.

Reportedly, BCC is using the train to deliver cement to Russia: the first train left the Belarusian cement plant (Kostyukovichi) for Moscow region.

To date, 37 thousand tons of cement have been shipped the train to the Central Federal District of Russia (car turnover was 8 days), and 7.5 thousand tons of cement to the North-Western Federal District (turnover was 14 days).

Until the end of May it is planned to carry out 18 departures of route trains or 67 thousand tons of cement.

It is noted that the appearance of BCC's own train will allow to use hopper cars more efficiently and increase the volume of products supplied to the neighboring country.

The Belarusian Cement Company holding includes three enterprises: Belarusian Cement Plant, Krichevcementnoshiffer and Krasnoselskstroymaterialy.

In 2023, BCC managed to produce a total of more than 5 million tons of cement, which was a record result for the industry. At the same time, Belarusian Cement Plant and Krichevcementnoshiffer supplied more than half of their output to Russia during the year.
