Belarus expects to take part in the construction of facilities in the ports of the Leningrad region

Belarus expects to take part in the construction of facilities in the ports of the Leningrad region, Minister of Architecture and Construction Ruslan Parkhamovich stated on the air of the Belarus 1 TV channel.

"All those construction projects that will be in the Leningrad region in the ports are just a zone of increased interest for us. We plan to provide ourselves with work there. I hope that everything will be fine and then we will confidently, get to work on our port facilities," Parkhamovich said.

The minister noted that this year the export of Belarusian construction industry services is successfully developing, the indicators are one of the best over the past ten years.

“We continue to actively build in the Russian Federation - about five social facilities, houses. We are building today in the Leningrad region, in Voronezh. We continue to build industrial facilities in the Tver region, in Lipetsk,” stated Parkhamovich.

At the same time, Parkhamovich clarified that the Belarusian builders are interested in "switching to industrial construction, because it is more marginal, there is a higher added value."

As the Prime Minister of Belarus Roman Golovchenko reported in early May, Minsk is considering the construction of its own port terminal in Russian ports and the possibility of expanding the range of cargo delivered in this way.
