Belarus has developed a draft Code of Architectural, Urban Planning and Construction Activities. This was stated by Minister of Architecture and Construction Ruslan Parkhamovich at a press conference "The results of the architectural and construction industry in the first half of 2021 and the prospects of development of the construction complex of Belarus’’. "The work on this document is practically completed. Now the draft code is under consideration in the government. I think it will be adopted in the near future," he said.
In addition, the Ministry of Architecture and Construction is doing serious work to liberalize the construction requirements. The ministry is preparing for all the standards related to design and construction to be under its control.
Also the ministry plans to introduce an obligatory certification for customers of construction work to increase their responsibility, as well as the promptness and quality of construction. In addition, adjustments will be made to the certification of general contractors and designers.
