Belarusian Krasnoselskstroymaterialy Increased Production in 2020

The Belarusian cement plant Krasnoselskstroymaterialy, part of the Belarusian Cement Company holding, increased production by 115 % in 2020, up to BYR 285.6 million. The enterprise produced 1.46 million tons of cement, 205,600 tons of lime and 51,700 tons of building mixtures.

The enterprise also exceeded its four primary indicators projections for 2020:

  • the growth rate of labor productivity was 120.6 % (expected 105 %); 
  • profitability of sales increased by 3.3 % against the expectation of 0.5 %; 
  • the growth in profit from sales was 14.3 % against the target of 2 %.

The production capacity was utilized by 92.4 % against the set target of 86.5 %. The highest production growth rates were recorded for chalk (115 %), bricks (115 %) and aerated concrete blocks (112 %).

The volume of exports of the company's products in 2020 reached US$ 37.8 million.

“The share of exports in the total volume of production for 2020 is 32.3 %. It must be said that cement, lime and blocks are our ‘business cards’ in the international market. The fact that 82 % of exports go to the EU speaks for itself. Moreover, in 2020 we increased export deliveries of lime — up to 81,000 tons (105.7 % growth rate compared to 2019). Products manufactured in accordance with European standards are certified. The main sales markets of Krasnoselskstroymaterialy today are Poland, Lithuania, Latvia and Russia,” said Alexander Veselik, General Director of Krasnoselskstroymaterialy.

Krasnoselskstroymaterialy is the largest manufacturer of building materials in Belarus. The company includes branches: No. 1 — Cement Plant, No. 3 — Lime Plant, No. 4  — Quarry Management Co., No. 5 — Grodno KSM and No. 7 — Smorgonsilikatobeton. The company produces cement, construction lime, ground and fine-grained chalk, concrete and dry construction mixtures, concrete products, reinforced concrete and aerated concrete, including foundation blocks, wall blocks, slabs and other products.
