Belarusian Krichevcementnoshifer Reports Export Dispatches Growth of 40,5 % YoY in Q1 2020

Krichevcementnoshifer plant in the Mogilev region of Belarus increased export dispatches  by 40.5 % YoY in Q1 2020 (up to $4.27 million). Total sales volume grew by 21.9 %, up to $15.4 million, said Vladimir Korchevsky, CEO of the enterprise.

The plant shipped a total of 302,000 tons of cement to consumers in Q1, maintaining capacity utilization at around 78.2 %. The product stock by the end of Q1 amounts to 43.7 % of the average monthly production volume. In Q1 2019 this indicator was at around 61 % mark.

“We consistently ship 5,000 tons of cement to consumers every day. April saw shipments reach as much as 6,000 tons per day. We can conclude that, despite the current difficulties associated with the coronavirus pandemic, the demand for our products does not decrease,” says Vladimir Korchevsky.

This April, the plant completed the reconstruction of the elevated track where bulk goods are unloaded from railway cars. The possibility of mixing goods (coal, peat briquettes) is now eliminated, and the unloading time has been reduced.

Krichevcementnoshifer was the only of three Belarusian cement plants that showed a net profit of $7 million in 2019, while yearly revenue increased by 10 %, up to $95.5 million.
