Smikom’s subsidiary Achinsk Cement plant finalized the repairs of equipment on production lines before the construction season. The repairs cost over 130 million rubles, as per Smikom’s reports.
Armored lining of coal and raw mills, the interchamber partition sectors and the output grille partition sectors, and a fan motor were replaced at Achinsk Cement. Dust removal equipment and heat generators were also repaired. Rotary kilns had lining replaced, heat exchangers were repaired, and a significant restoration work was carried out on the conveyor tracks.
The heavy truck fleet was replenished in preparation for the season. The company acquired a tent semi-truck with a capacity of 92 m3. This will expand the product delivery options for bagged products. The company plans on using its own transport to deliver products to customers in the Krasnoyarsk Territory, Khakassia, the Kemerovo Region and other neighbouring regions of Siberia.
Achinsk Cement also plans to launch a new dosing unit for bulk cement delivery in 2020.
Season preparations at Achinsk Cement were carried out in stages and did not affect the production output or cement dispatches.
Smikom implemented all the necessary safety measures at its enterprises providing an uninterrupted production process and constant dispatches to clients.
Achinsk Cement Plant occupies 12 % of the Siberain cement market with a production capacity of 1.4 million tpa.
