The government will compensate prices of building materials for the developers, said Deputy Prime Minister of Russia Marat Khusnullin. Earlier Rosstat recorded a significant price hike for these goods.
"The situation with prices of building materials is very difficult, but the good news is that there is a government decision that we should pay for the rise in their prices. We will try to compensate," Khusnullin told the journalists (quoted by RIA Novosti).
Earlier Rosstat reported that in June the prices of building materials grew by 6,7%. After that Federal Antimonopoly Service (FAS) instructed its local offices to check the manufacturers of concrete, bricks, wood and PVC products and to find out why the prices went up.
With increasing prices of construction materials, the Ministry of Economy offered to support contractors on the state orders by introducing from 2022 obligatory electronic bidding for contracts with initial price over RUB10 million.
