Cement production in Azerbaijan in January-April decreased by 10 % compared to January-April 2019, down to 911,000 tons. A total worth of construction materials produced in 4M 2020 amounts to 204 million manat ($ 120 million), which is 4.5 % less YoY, according to the Republican State Statistics Committee.
In 4M 2020, enterprises of Azerbaijan produced:
- hydrated lime — 10,400 tons (down by 24.6 % YoY);
- building blocks and bricks made of cement, artificial stone or concrete — 13,500 tons (down by 69,3 % YoY);
- precast concrete — 13,500 m3 (down by 4.3 % YoY);
- gypsum — 4,700 tons (up by three times YoY);
- ready-mixed concrete — 461,000 tons (up by 10 % YoY).
In Q1 2020, Azerbaijani enterprises produced:
- cement — 684,000 tons (down by 3 % YoY);
- ready-mixed concrete — 307,000 tons ( up by 5 % YoY).
