Siberian Research Institute of Cement Industry issued a certificate of conformity for Gornozavodskcement’s sulfate-resistant Portland cement (CEM I 42.5N SR). The required quality level of CEM I 42.5N SR is provided by the reduced content of tricalcium aluminate in clinker (3 % max), as well as low content of alkali metal oxides (0.6 % max). The finished product has a low normal consistency (25 - 26 %), which increases the durability of concrete products and structures.
Sulphate-resistant cement is intended for the manufacture of monolithic concrete and reinforced concrete parts, which become part of the structures like bridge supports, mine shafts, and chemical tanks. Due to the active influence of an aggressive environment, such construction objects require an increased durability and corrosion resistance of materials used.
In January, Gornozavodskcement started producing CEM I 52.5N for high strength concrete.
