CEMEX also announced the successful completion of the previously proclaimed placement of its 5.125% interest rate subordinated bonds for a total of USD 1.0 billion with no fixed maturity. CEMEX intends to use the proceeds for general corporate purposes, including debt repayment. CEMEX expects that the bond structure (subordinated, deferred interest rate, no fixed maturity) will contribute to the achievement of the objectives of the strategic "Operational Sustainability" program.
