Sweden’s Cemvision and a major German industrial technology conglomerate have signed a strategic agreement to develop and scale production of near-zero carbon cement facilities.
Cemvision states that its technology enables up to a 95 % reduction in emissions compared to conventional cement production through the use of circular cement produced without fossil-fuel energy.
As part of the partnership, the conglomerate will become an early customer of Cemvision’s “Re-ment” cement for its own use. The parties are also exploring the development of a digital twin (virtual plant) solution to support design and engineering calculations.
