Authorities in Afghanistan's Logar Province have announced the completion of preparatory works for the Altamur cement plant. Construction is expected to begin in the coming days following final approval of the project documentation.
The plant, developed by Sako Afghan Company, will have a production capacity of 2,400 t/day of cement and is scheduled for completion within 18 months. Once operational, the project is expected to create around 1,000 jobs, making it one of the largest industrial developments in the province.
