The Amsons Goup, a main industrial conglomerate in East Africa, will inject via Kalahari Cement the amount of US$ 201.7m into Kenya’s East Africa Portland Cement PLC (EAPC) to quadruple its cement output.
Kalahari Cement, a subsidiary of Amsons Group, holds a controlling 69 % stake in EAPC and informed that the funding will support both financing and equipment modernisation to raise capacity from about 1.3 Mta to almost 4.0 Mta capacity.
