New Hitachi excavators will replace Volvo machines that have expired at Teploozerskcement [Obluchensky District, Jewish Autonomous Region]. Hitachi ZX 470 is designed for loosening frozen soil, rock and hardened materials; soil compaction; quarrying, digging trenches, creating embankments; loading and unloading. Owning heavy equipment is financially more viable than renting the machines.
“Updating the equipment fleet is always a big event. Moreover, the equipment that arrived at the plant is better, up to date, and more reliable than what we used to have. The new excavators will soon start operation,” says the head of Teploozerskcement mining department Nikolai Shachek.
“Yakutcement" [Mokhsogollokh village, Sakha Republic] received a new 410hp Komatsu D275A bulldozer. It weighs more than 50 tons and is designed for loosening hard rocks in permafrost conditions. The bulldozer is already operating on the Sasaabyt raw materials field. Yakutcement previously used Komatsu D375.
Other plants of the holding are also in the process of equipment fleet renewal:
- Spasskcement in Primorski Kray replaced Volvo ES700 with Hitachi ZX670. The plant will also receive Komatsu D155 bulldozer and Hitachi 180 front-end loader (FEL).
- Crushing and Sorting Plant in the city of Artem in Primorsky Kray will receive a modern mobile crusher unit, Hitachi ZW250 FEL and Hitachi 330 excavator.
- The Vladivostok crushed stone plant launched new crushing units allowing for fourth crushing stage. Soon, a new Hitachi ZX670 excavator will join the heavy equipment fleet at the plant.
