EUROCEMENT’s Akhangarancement Reports 2020 Operations Results

The results of Akhangarancement’s operations in 2020 have been presented at the enterprise’s regular annual meeting. Despite the difficulties caused by the COVID-19 pandemic and disruptions in the supply of natural gas at the beginning and end of the year, the enterprise produced 1,199.7 thousand tons of clinker and 1,612.7 thousand tons of cement. 1,614.6 thousand tons of products were shipped to consumers, including 141 thousand tons of cement sold for export.

Throughout 2020, the company's products have constantly been in demand at the key facilities of the republic: Akhangarancement supplied the construction of the Victory Park in the city of Tashkent, the construction of medical and temporary quarantine facilities for COVID-19 patients, the construction of urban and social infrastructure after a natural disaster in the Bukhara region, etc.

“We are learning to adapt and be flexible in any realities to reap maximum benefit and experience from critical situations. A systematic approach, efficiency and constant monitoring of the production process made it possible to minimize the influence of negative factors and continue the tendency to timely manage the cost of production,” said General Director of Akhangarancement Gennady Kulikov.

In the coming year, Akhangarancement plans to launch a new high-tech dry-process cement production plant with a capacity of 3 million tpa.
