Last Cement Trading Session at UzEX Comes Best Since Early December Recession

In the last week of December, the volume of cement put up for sale at the Uzbek Republican Commodity and Raw Materials Exchange continued to recover after a decline earlier in the month. At the trading sessions held on December 10, 11 and 14, 15,200, 15,800 and 13,700 tons of cement were put up for sale, respectively. In the period of December 15-24, the average volume of cement put up for sale at UzEX was 21,100 tons per session. The last trading session, which took place on December 28, saw 23,800 tons of cement put up for sale.

A total of 21,500 tons of cement was sold at UzEX on December 28 — the best figure since December 10. From December 10 to December 28, the average volume of cement sold at the trading sessions was 17,500 tons.

In total, 443,600 tons of cement were put up for sale at UZEX during December 2020, and 401,100 tons were sold (worth UZS 228.2 trillion). The largest trading session in December was held on December 9: 36,100 tons of cement were put up for sale, and 31,700 tons of cement were sold for UZS 17 trillion.

The average price of a ton of cement at UzEX in December amounted to UZS 479.6 million. The average selling price for a ton of cement at UzEX for the same period amounted to UZS 586.9 million.
