Gayur Launches Polypropylene Bags Production for Cement Products in Tajikistan

The Tajik industrial company, Gayur LLC, has launched a plant for the production of polypropylene bags — Gayur-Pak LLC. The enterprise will be able to produce up to 50 million pieces of disposable, environmentally friendly polypropylene bags annually, providing containers for the Gayur’s cement plants, including the Tajik-Chinese joint ventures Huaxin Gayur Cement and Huaxin Gayur Sugd Cement.

The new enterprise is a full cycle plant — from processing of raw materials to the delivery  of end-product in the form of a bag with a print design. The plant will also have a quality control laboratory.

Gayur’s enterprises produce about 2.5 million tons of cement yearly, and the demand for polypropylene bags is only growing recently. About 80 % of the bags produced at Gayur-Pak will be used for the needs of the company’s cement production facilities. The rest will be sold locally and exported. Previously, polypropylene packaging for bulk materials was imported to Tajikistan from abroad.

Gayur-Pak was established on the territory of the first Park of Innovative Technologies in Dushanbe. The products of the plant will only be sold upon the conclusion of the laboratory specialists.
