Authorities at Baghlan’s Ghori cement factory have reported a rise in production levels.
In 2023, the factory produced 180 thousand tons of cement, but in 2024 the production is expected to reach 200 thousand tons. The technical assistant of the factory stated that the installation of a new machine, facilitated by the National Development Company, will enable the factory to produce 4 thousand tons of cement within a 24-hour period.
According to information, the first Ghori Cement Factory, with a production capacity of 400 tons of cement per day, started its operation in 1341 (solar calendar) with the cooperation and assembly of specialists from then Czechoslovakia, and since then, its quality cement has had a regional reputation.
