"Currently, the cement market is affected by various factors, including negative ones. The consequence of this is a demand decrease. For example, in June - at the peak of the construction season - we recorded a 6.9% drop in cement consumption in Siberia (within its former boundaries - including Buryatia and Transbaikalia) compared to June last year," emphasizes Gennady Rasskazov, First Vice President of Sibcem Holding Company. "At the end of six months, the macro-region market showed a slight growth: its capacity increased by 2.7 % compared to the same period of 2023 - up to 3.1 million tons. Demand for cement grew the most - by 23.8% - in the Khakassia region, while the strongest decline - by 12.1% - was noted in the Omsk region."
