A new recycling hub has been opened at Appleford depot in Oxfordshire.
It is the first of several planned at company’s sites this year as part of strategy to conserve natural materials and promote the circular economy.
The Appleford hub will recycle construction waste, diverting it away from landfill and processing and reusing it to deliver sustainable products to its customers. It means the site is now a one-stop shop for customers, supplying primary aggregate, ready-mixed concrete and asphalt in addition to recycled material.
The recycling hubs form part of Heidelberg Materials UK recycling business line, which includes rebranded Manchester-based A1 Services, acquired by the company in 2022.
