HeidelbergCement and Freight One Sign Deferred Payments Agreement

HeidelbergCement Russia and Freight One, Russia’s leading railway freight operator, signed an additional agreement on the introduction of deferred payments. This gives the cement producer an option to only pay for the operator's services upon delivery. This year, HeidelbergCement Russia has increased the loading of Freight One railroad cars just in the Kuibyshev Railway region alone by 66 % YoY, up to 115,800 tons.

“It is important for us that cooperation is based on partnership and mutually beneficial terms. Therefore, taking into account the experience of cooperation, in the spring of this year we also signed an additional agreement on deferred payments,” said director of the regional branch of Freight One Aleksey Korenko.

In 10 months of this year, Freight One transported 391,000 tons of products of HeidelbergCement Russia, which is 87 % more than in 10 months last year.

Freight One is the largest privately-owned rail transport operator in Russia. The company provides a full range of services for the transportation of goods. Freight One manages 110 thousand units of rolling stock, including open-top wagons, tanks, platforms and other types of wagons. The regional network of the company is represented by branches in 14 cities of Russia, and the international one is represented by a branch in Kazakhstan and a joint venture in Finland.
