India’s JK Lakshmi Cement has announced a major capacity expansion program in its core markets across the country.
As part of the project, the company will expand clinker capacity at its integrated cement plant in Durg, Chhattisgarh, by installing a second line of 2.3 Mta. In parallel, four cement grinding units with a total capacity of 4.6 Mta are planned.
In addition, the company is developing three split grinding units in Prayagraj (Uttar Pradesh), Madhubani (Bihar), and Patratu (Jharkhand), with a combined capacity of 3.4 Mta.
The total investment is estimated at around USD 360 million. The main part of the financing through bank term loans, while the remainder will be funded through internal accruals.
The projects will be implemented in phases and are expected to be completed by March 2028.
