In India, JK Lakshmi Cement is the frontrunner in calcined clay for the production of LC3 cements.
The company has suitable clay deposits in Pali, Rayasthan, which have been tested for several years. According to JK’s commitment towards sustainability it is planned to set up a clay calcination unit in the Jaykaypuram integrated cement works in Sirohi, Rayasthan. The plant comprises two large kilns and one smaller one with a combined clinker capacity of 5.3 Mta. The smaller one could be converted to produce calcined clay.
