Clinker production line was launched at the Korcem LLP plant in Korday district of Zhambyl region.
Speaking at the solemn ceremony of launching the new line, the head of the region Yerbol Karashukeyev noted the importance of the project for the economy of the region.
"In accordance with the instruction of the Head of State, a number of investment projects are being successfully implemented in the region, large-scale production facilities are being launched.
Cement plant in Korday district is a vivid proof of this. I am confident that this enterprise will make a significant contribution to the development of the region's economy, will provide local residents with stable jobs” , - noted the akim of the region.
Managing Director of “International Cement Group” LLP Benjamin Cheng emphasized that the project is fully supported by the state.
"Our company also plans to attract other potential investors to create new jobs in Zhambyl region. We have seen from our experience that all conditions have been created here for investors. Besides, the region has a great potential for exporting products, “ he noted.
Project manager Stanislav Shcherbakov emphasized that the new enterprise will allow to saturate the local market with domestic products, increase competitiveness and export orientation of this industry.
The capacity of the new line per day is 3500 tons of clinker.
The cement plant construction project is implemented by a Singaporean company. The plant is one of the most modern and waste-free enterprises in Central Asia.
The total investment will amount to 50 billion tenge. The annual capacity of the enterprise is 1.5 million tons. More than 400 new jobs have been created. In the future it is planned to create more than 500 new jobs.
