Lebap cement factory will produce modified cement with low production cost

The Lebap cement factory has started production of pilot batches of M-400-D20 and M-500-D20 grades of cement. The new construction material was developed by the staff of the Institute of Chemistry of the Academy of Sciences of Turkmenistan. It is a modified cement binder with admixtures of ground basalt powder (made from local raw materials), which increases the strength, density, frost resistance of concrete and also reduces its cost. In addition, the use of mineral raw materials in the concrete mixture minimizes its harmful effect on the environment.

In the near future, all specialized plants in the country will start producing new grades of cement, which makes it possible to develop mortars and concretes with different physical, mechanical and chemical-mineralogical properties.

Currently, the most popular grades produced are : M-400, M-500 and M-400 (sulfate-resistant) used in hydraulic structures. Besides, the Kelyatinsky plant produces blended Portland cement PCT-1-100 used in oil and gas industry.

In 2020 The Lebap Cement Factory began construction of a new production line to expand capacity.
