As part of this collaboration, an agreement was reached between the parties to jointly test and develop the capabilities for Norm Cement plant to produce G class oil-well cement.
Norm is certified by the American Petroleum Institute (API) and such G-Class cement is being produced at the Norm Cement plant. The localization of products such as G-Class cement remains a key priority for the Oil and Gas business of Azerbaijan and the Caspian countries as one of the main drivers to economic evolution and expansion.
The memorandum also aims to contribute to the cooperation in the technical field, promoting the establishment of mutual relations between the laboratories of both companies, and leveraging various local development opportunities. The partnership with SLB in Azerbaijan represents both parties’ contribution to the country and the strengthening of "Norm" OJSC production capabilities for G class oil-well cement, in addition to its current use in the local industry.
