On June 28, 2023 at 12:00 a.m. the official opening ceremony of the Cementum plant in Voskresensk (Moscow region) took place.
In the year of its 110th anniversary the plant is relaunching processing lines. Cementum company has carried out a comprehensive modernization of production capacity, allowing the company to create a modern industrial cluster based on this historical enterprise, which manufactures high value-added products. The project capacity is 1 million tons of high-quality cement per year. A special attention was given to compliance with all modern ecological requirements, allowing to minimize the impact on the environment. The plant is equipped with the latest dedusting and gas-cleaning equipment, a clinker storage shed was built, and a closed water circuit system for the cement grinding facility was developed.
Planned production:
- CEM I 42.5 Portland cement
- CEM II/S 32.5 Portland cement with slag additive from 6 to 20%
On the basis of the industrial cluster, a plant for the production of dry building mixtures was built from scratch, with the project capacity of more than 100 thousand tons per year.
The project was implemented using the latest "green" technology, the plant is equipped with high-tech equipment of European and Russian standards and provides a full production cycle of dry mixtures.
The total investment volume in the modernization project of the Voskresensk cement plant and the construction of the dry mixtures plant exceeded 2 billion rubles.
History of the plant:
Voskresensk cement plant was commissioned in 1913, with project capacity of 80 thousand tons of cement per year. The Gigant (Giant) cement plant was commissioned in 1936, and in 1972 the two plants and Afanasievsky quarry were merged into Voskresenskcement. In 2016, the plant was temporarily shut down. In the summer of 2023, in the year of its 110th anniversary, the plant relaunched its processing lines after a comprehensive modernization.
The cement from Voskresensk cement plant was used in the construction of landmark objects such as Moscow Metro, Moscow Ring Road, the Volga-Baltic Canal, the Cathedral of Christ the Savior and Domodedovo airport
