South African cement company PPC continues to implement the new integrated Riebeek RK3 plant project in the Western Cape province. Construction is progressing in line with the schedule and approved budget.
The project, valued at more than USD 182 million, предусматривает the launch of a new production line with a capacity of 1.5Mta of cement by the end of the 2027 financial year. The facility is being built at PPC’s existing site in Riebeek and is intended to replace outdated capacity while increasing overall production volumes.
The new plant will be equipped with modern technological solutions aimed at reducing production costs, energy consumption, and carbon footprint. In addition, the project includes a fully integrated solar power generation system.
