A new, unique production facility for the country is located in Bashkiria, near the city of Magnitogorsk, and is a subdivision of the Austrian holding Lasselsberger - a large manufacturer of construction and raw materials.
The official opening ceremony of the production was attended by the President of Russia Vladimir Putin.
A video address on the occasion of the opening of the plant was delivered to the participants of the ceremony by Sebastian Kurz, Federal Chancellor of the Republic of Austria.
During the excursion, the head of state got acquainted with the production process, samples of raw materials and finished products. Answering employees' questions, Vladimir Putin highly appreciated the project and its significance for the construction industry.
“The commissioning of this plant, created by one of the world recognized leaders, our Austrian partner, is a good example of close investment cooperation between Russia and the Austrian Republic. I am sure that the products manufactured here will be in high demand in the domestic construction industry, which is effectively and dynamically developing. You know that we have very big construction plans - in housing construction, road construction and industrial construction. Undoubtedly, this material - one of the key materials providing the construction complex - will be in demand, moreover, it will completely cover the current needs of our country in such an important material as white cement,” emphasized president Putin.
The Cemix plant is equipped with a modern "dry" line for the production of cement and is one of the plants built according to the "Smart plant" concept, a distinctive feature of which is the complete automation of production processes, minimizing the influence of the human factor on quality stability.
The design capacity of the plant is up to 240 thousand tons of Cemix Prowhite white cement per year. In the future, it is planned to organize the production of microcalcite and dry building mixtures at the site of the plant.
Cemix Prowhite cement according to local standard GOST 965-89 corresponds to white Portland cement PCB-1-500 D0 and will be available in several types of packaging: bulk, big bags of 1 ton, polyethylene bags of 25 and 40 kg.
The shipment will take place not only from the plant in Magnitogorsk, but also from regional logistics centers. For this, the company acquired two sites: in the city of Lukhovitsy (Moscow region) and in the village of Afipsky (Krasnodar Territory).
Soon, Cemix Prowhite white cement will be available for ordering and sale.
