Installation of a rotary kiln shell at a new production line at EUROCEMENT group's subsidiary Akhangarantsement plant is now complete. The dry-method kiln is capable of producing 3 million tons of cement a year, as per EUROCEMENT group representatives.
Internal and external welding of the kiln shell was carried out at the production site, bandages and support rollers were mounted, and the main and the auxiliary drives were installed. The rotary kiln is equipped with sensors, scanners, gas analyzers, and pressure gauges to collect operation data and minimize environmental impact.
Akhangarancement has also set up the main process filters, transporting equipment, mills, along with jaw and hammer crushers at the production site.
Construction and installation of the main substation is finalizing: cable systems are being installed, internal gas supply networks are being established. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, all health safety protocols and protection measures are in effect at Akhangarancement.
The new production line at Akhangarancement costs about 200 million US dollars. Commissioning is scheduled this year.
Akhangarantsement plant currently has a design capacity of 2.18 million tons per year, making it the second largest cement producer in Uzbekistan. Akhangarancement has been a part of the Russian holding EUROCEMENT group since 2006.
