Russia and Vietnam are developing cooperation in the framework of joint standardization projects in the construction sector.
The agreements were reached during a working meeting between Anton Shalaev, Head of the Federal Agency for Technical Regulation and Metrology, and Pham Minh Ha, Deputy Minister of Construction of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam.
The purpose of the visit of Vietnamese representatives to Russia was to get acquainted with the national standardization system within the framework of the current legislation on standardization, as well as with the areas of harmonization of the regulatory and technical framework in the field of construction. Special attention was paid to possible areas of further cooperation between the Russian Federation and the Socialist Republic of Vietnam in the field of management and application of standards in construction and road construction.
Following the talks, the parties confirmed their desire to strengthen bilateral cooperation and reached an agreement on practical steps to develop it. In particular, direct contact will be established between the Russian and Vietnamese specialized technical committees for standardization, a decision has been made to establish a joint expert group, and training and advanced training programs for specialists at the Academy of Standardization, Metrology and Certification have been agreed.
