In January-September 2020, Russia imported 238,800 tons of cement from Kazakhstan, which is 13.9 % more than in January-September 2019. The cost of imports over the same period decreased by 14 % YoY, down to US$ 12.9 million.
In just nine months of 2020, 1.2 million tons of cement were imported to Russia, which is 13 % less than in the same period last year. The largest import partner of the Russian Federation in January-September was Belarus, accounting for 66 % of the total volume of imported cement. Russia imported 679,200 tons of cement from Belarus, 2.6 % less than in 9M last year.
As per the latest data of the Federal State Statistics Service of the Russian Federation, the volume of cement production in Russia in January-October decreased by 3.9 % YoY.
