Russian Building Materials Producer Supplies Construction of Hospital in New Moscow

A Russian manufacturer of building materials and precasts, ‘Smikom’ supplies the construction of an isolation hospital in New Moscow, which should become an addition to the hospital in the village of Kommunarka. The project includes 50 one-story buildings and 14 sections of 2-3-story dormitories. Construction works began on March 10, the facility is about 50 % complete.

‘Smikom’ supplies reinforced concrete slabs and cement. The company already shipped 700 of prestressed concrete slabs PAG-18. Slabs are used for access roads, allowing for a quick equipment delivery right to the construction site. ‘Smikom’ used such slabs at airfields of Moscow airports — Vnukovo, Sheremetyevo, Domodedovo and Chkalovsky.

‘Smikom’ includes enterprises producing a wide range of products for construction supplying more than 50 regions of Russia. ‘Smikom’ owns Achinsky Cement plant in the Krasnodar Territory and Serebryansky cement plant with a total capacity of 3.2 million tpa. Smikom also produces lime, limestone flour, autoclaved aerated concrete, mineral powder, crushed stone, gypsum, dry-mixes.

In 2019 Serebryansky Cement plant near Ryazan worked at its full capacity all year, delivering 1.8 million tons of product.
