Russian Smikom Group Expands Special Equipment Fleet

As part of the program of renewal and expansion of the fleet of special equipment, Smikom purchased two new dump trucks and a tractor truck with a flatbed semi-trailer. The equipment has already been put into operation. The total investment amounted to 25.55 million rubles.

Dump trucks with taller sides, reinforced front axles and a loading volume of 35 m3 are now operating at Smikom’s Uglovsky lime plant in the Novgorod region. A tractor truck with an automatic transmission and a flatbed semi-trailer is now operating at the site of Smikom’s Glavstroy-Ust-Labinsk plant in the Krasnodar Territory. The machine will ship aerated concrete blocks produced at the enterprise to consumers.

Another tractor with a flatbed semi-trailer for the transportation of aerated concrete blocks has also been purchased last year, as well as three cement trucks. In addition, the company has completed its own railway fleet of 150 gondola cars and 500 hopper cars.
