Serebryanslky Cement Plant Invests 287 Million Rubles in Peak Season Preparations

Russian holding company Smikom prepares its subsidiary Serebryansky cement plant near Ryazan for the construction season and peak loads. The investments amounted to 287 million rubles. Spare parts and equipment were delivered from China and EU countries before epidemic counter measures were implemented.

The company upgraded the lining in the kiln unit, rotary kiln head and tertiary air duct. Specialists replaced the concrete on the loading chamber of a rotary kiln, inspected the cyclone heat exchanger and increased the lining resistance. A denitrification flap was placed to reduce NOx emissions.

Serebryanskiy Plant purchased an excavator and two articulated dump trucks as a part of mining fleet upgrade. The enterprise ensured the shipment of products to consumers stay uninterrupted, and used its accumulated clinker stock. Smikom expects the plant to operate at maximum capacity during this summer — peak of the construction season.
