Serious repairs of the raw mill No. 3 are in full swing at Teploozersky Cement Plant. The mill has replaced the shell, loading and unloading covers: new parts were made by individual order of the plant at the Volgotsemmash enterprise.
"Preparatory work began in December, but raw mill No. 3 was stopped at the end of January directly for repairs. The old mill shell could not be restored, so it was cut and removed in parts. The new mill shell is all-welded, its length is 13 meters, and its diameter is 2.6 meters. Despite the large size, the mill shell was lifted and moved manually, with the help of hoists," said Anton Kuzminov, chief mechanic of Teploozersky Cement Plant.
After replacing the mill shell, the specialists of Teploozersky Cement started lining work. As reported at the plant, the metal armour lining of the second raw mill chamber is being changed to a more wear-resistant rubber one. It is planned to complete the repair work by the end of February.
