According to the results of research carried out by the "International Trade and Integration" research center, the introduction of mandatory certification of cements in the Russian Federation contributes to an increase in their quality and the degree of compliance with the established requirements.
The share of illegal trafficking in cement products decreased from 7.3% in 2019 to 5.6% in 2020.
The results of the study confirm the effectiveness of mandatory certification of cements introduced by the Government of the Russian Federation as a measure aimed at supporting bona fide cement manufacturers and reducing the damage caused to them from illegal circulation of cement products in the Russian market.
The rules and procedures for compulsory certification of cements are regulated by the national standard GOST R 56836-2016 “Conformity assessment. Cement Certification Rules” effective February 1, 2016.
