YUGPK [rus. for SUMPC — OOO South Ural Mining & Processing Company], a subsidiary of AKKERMANN holding, was renamed into OOO AKKERMANN CEMENT. The transformation is part of the development of the company and promotion of the AKKERMANN brand. Initially, OOO South Ural Mining and Processing Company was formed on the basis of the slag heaps development workshop and the Akkermanovsky limestone mine in 2002. The cement production was launched eight years later.

We are constantly developing, using the world’s best practices, investing in the development of our employees and introducing new technologies into production. In 2018, our team became twice the size and more powerful, thanks to the merger of an enterprise in the Perm Territory,” comments Konstantin Morozov, CEO of OOO AKKERMANN CEMENT.
In 2017, the Company launched products under the AKKERMANN cement brand on the Russian and Kazakh markets.
In June, it became known that YUGPK launched airborne geophysical studies at its Novotroitsk plant to study the prospects for expanding the production and processing of fluxing limestone.
AKKERMANN CEMENT plant (formerly YUGPK) is part of the AKKERMANN holding, which also includes Gornozavodskcement. The group of enterprises united under the AKKERMANN cement brand is among the largest domestic manufacturers of cement products. The brand is widely represented in 22 regions of Russia and Kazakhstan. The technical characteristics of cement allow it to be used for large-scale construction work, including restoration and emergency.
