4M 2020 Data Indicates RMC Production Recovery in Russia

RMC production in Russia grew by 2.6 % YoY in 4M 2020, up to 9.4 million m3. MoM growth amounts to 5.5 % with 2.6 million m3 of RMC produced in April, as per the Federal State Statistics Service.

Despite the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic, RMC production surges again as the construction sector gains support from the government in the wake of the peak construction season.

In April, the production of ready-mixed concrete in Moscow and the Moscow Region alone increased by 24 % MoM, up to 468,000 m3. St. Petersburg and the Leningrad Region showed growth of 13 % MoM, up to 269,000 m3.

However, the volume of production of precast concrete products in Russia in January-April fell by 2.8 % YoY, amounting to 6.5 million m3.
