A subsidiary of Siberian Cement, Krasnoyarsk Cement dispatched a record volume of cement in big bags in May 2020. Customers received 21,300 tons of cement in soft one-ton containers. This is 37.4 % more than the average monthly volume, as per representatives of Siberian Cement holding.
Krasnoyarsk Cement dispatches 15,500 big bags per month on average. The previous record was set in March of 2018 with 19,000 big bags.
In May 2020, there was an increased demand for I-G-СС-1 oil-well cement and CEM I 42.5N Portland cement.
The increase in demand for these types of products is explained by an abnormally warm spring and early navigation season.
Completing the repairs campaign on schedule, Krasnoyarsk Cement had successfully gone through the first peak load of the construction season. Worn parts and components were audited and replaced at the cement calibration line, at the bulk loading station, and on a rotary packaging machine. The plant also had its grinding facilities repaired. In April this year, Krasnoyarsk Cement also upgraded its emissions monitoring system.
“We were able to fully prepare for the peak construction season, taking into account measures to prevent the spread of coronavirus,” says managing director of Krasnoyarsk Cement, Vladimir Afanasin. “The plant is operating normally and is ready to supply construction enterprises with high-quality products as necessary.”
The design capacity of Krasnoyarsk Cement is 1.1 million tons of cement per year.
