China’s National Development and Reform Commission, together with several other government departments, has announced the launch of a three-year campaign to modernize key industries, with a focus on energy conservation and reducing CO₂ emissions.

The Chinese government has announced the implementation of a plan to extend carbon quotas to the steel, aluminum and cement industries. Carbon allowance prices rose more than 8 % to 66.86 yuan (9.40 USD) per ton, according to exchange data.

The daily output is 2000 tons of clinker.

Huaxin Cement is planning to consolidate all overseas production and operating assets into a new subsidiary, which it intends to list on an overseas stock exchange, according to a company announcement made on 31 August 2025.
