Nuvoco Vistas Corp. Ltd., India's fifth-largest cement group in terms of capacity, announces it has been granted a patent for its product, the “Fibre Reinforced Cement Composition”, branded in the market as “Duraguard Microfiber Cement”.

On the occasion of the Ulm Concrete Days (June 20th to 22nd, 2023), Dyckerhoff presented the newly developed CO2-reduced cement Dyckerhoff Weiss BLUE STAR.

Vedanta Aluminium, India’s largest producer of aluminium, has entered into a long-term partnership with Dalmia Cement for supply of industrial wastes such as fly ash and spent pot lining for manufacturing low carbon cement. Under this partnership, Vedanta’s mega aluminium smelter at Jharsuguda will transport around 20 rakes of fly ash per month for 5 years to Dalmia Cement’s manufacturing units in Odisha, Chhattisgarh, Meghalaya, and Assam, and supply SPL for 3 years to the company’s plant at Rajgangpur, Odisha. Vedanta Aluminium is a preferred supplier of high-quality fly ash to some of India’s leading cement producers, fostering industrial collaboration for production of low-carbon cement.

The operation is the first investment by Cementos Molins, owner of Calucem, in the United States.

INSEE Cement has extended production of its Portland Composite Cement to its Ruhunu Cement Plant, increasing production of the new SLS 1697 product to meet the growing demand of the local market. Portland Composite Cement (PCC) is the result of years of research, and is a superior blended cement produced exclusively at the Puttalam integrated cement manufacturing facility earlier, to address the high carbon footprint of OPC cements, while also producing compressive strength equal to or beyond that of OPC at all ages.

SLK Cement has updated its product line for oil well and general construction cements.
