Amrize announces modernization of сement plant in Saint-Constant

Amrize will hold an official ceremony to mark the start of modernization work at its cement plant in Saint-Constant, Quebec.

The project has been described as the largest investment in Canada’s cement industry in the past decade. Following the modernization, the Saint-Constant facility is expected to become the most modern and sustainable cement plant in Eastern Canada.

The company expects the plant upgrade to strengthen local cement supplies and help meet growing demand from the construction sector in Quebec and other regions of Canada.

The project has received support from the Government of Quebec under the ÉcoPerformance program and the Measure to Support the Decarbonization of the Industrial Sector, MADI. These initiatives are part of the 2030 Plan for a Green Economy. In addition, the modernization is partially funded by the Government of Canada’s Low Carbon Economy Fund.
